The Fourth Construction Company of SINOPEC (FCC) is the national first grade construction general contractor with major specialty in petrochemical project construction. Since its establishment on Mar.26, 1963¡ªthe great Daqing Campaign Period, it has been engaged in projects construction all over the country, and recognized as an invincible force in the petrochemical field.
The company is now having some 4000 employee, 1500 out of which are technical management people of various disciplines, including 8 professorial specialists, 9 specialists benefiting from special government allowance, 39 people holding US PMP accreditations, 405 people holding national project manager certificates (or Class I builder certificates), Meanwhile, the company is having some 20,000 fixed association human resource as well. It has 8 subsidiary disciplinary engineering divisions such as Equipment Installation Engineering Division, Piping Erection Engineering Division, Electrical/Instrument Installation Engineering Division, Storage Tank Installation Engineering Division, Lifting & Transportation Engineering Division, Factory Prefabrication Plant, Project Management Division which may manage the project for Owner and supervise for the Supervision Contractor, and one Real Property Administrative Division.
FCC has strong management qualification. It is holding the ASME ¡°U¡± Stamp authorization; Class A3 Pressure Vessel Manufacture and Site Assembly Welding Permit£»Class GA1¡¢GB1¡¢GB2¡¢and GC1 Pressure Piping Erection Permit; AR2¡¢AR3 pressure vessel manufacture and installation permit; Class A1¡¢A2¡¢and A3 Pressure Vessel Reparation Permit; Class I Boiler Installation Permit issued by National Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine General Bureau. The company passed the ISO 9000 Quality Management System certification in 1995, and passed the ISO 14001 and OHSAS18001 certification in 2001.
The company has 1842 units complete and advanced construction machineries and transportation equipment with total power of 12748 Kw. It also possesses the 2500t--capacity hydraulic lifting system that is in advanced world level and unique in China, and the 1600t--capacity crawler crane that is of extreme capacity in Asia.
Over the past years, the company has completed some thousand sets of various domestic industrial plants, and has been involved in the construction work in some 40 sets of petrochemical plants respectively in DPRK, Kuwait, Singapore, Saudi Arabia and Hongkong, etc,
It has established complete construction project management system and standard system, it possesses the specialized construction technology advantage with heavy lifting, large storage tank installation, large machine unit installation and adjustment, DCS and ESD installation and adjustment for large unit, and special material welding as the core, which helps forming the integrated management competence and general project contractor capacity by basing on project management, specialized construction and construction management, and helps the realization of PMC and CM management and supervision management for Owners and General contractors.
